LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do
any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy

if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant,

home, or born abroad, even their

her nakedness.

sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.
03-21:2 But for his kin, that is near unto
him, that is, for his mother, and for
his father, and for his son, and for his daughter,
and for his brother,

cattle, nor thy stranger that is within
thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto
his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto
thy son.

LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy
son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and
thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within
thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou
puttest thine hands unto.
05-13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy
mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife
of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as
thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods,
which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;

LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter,
and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger,
and the fatherless, and the widow, that are
among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his
name there.

unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this
man to wife, and he hateth her;
05-22:17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of
speech against her, saying, I found not
thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth
before the elders of the city.
05-27:22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter
of his father, or the daughter of his mother.
And all the people shall say, Amen.
05-28:56 The tender and delicate woman among
you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for

bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,

that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter!
thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I
have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back.
07-11:40 That
the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the daughter
of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year.

his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them
what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

Mizpeh, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter
unto Benjamin to wife.

Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace.

thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in
another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:

and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen.

is good, my daughter, that thou go out with
his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field.

unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for
thee, that it may be well with thee?
08-3:10 And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou
hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as
thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
08-3:11 And now, my daughter,
fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my
people doth know that thou art a
virtuous woman.
08-3:16 And when she came to her mother in
law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done
to her.
08-3:18 Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for
the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
08-4:15 And he shall be unto thee a restorer
of thy life, and a nourisher of thine
old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth
thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath borne him.

him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.
09-18:17 And Saul said to David, Behold my
elder daughter Merab, her will I give thee to
wife: only be thou valiant for me, and fight the LORD’S battles. For Saul said,

Merab Saul’s daughter should have been given to
David, that she was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.

their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be

to wife.

father’s concubine?
10-3:13 And he said, Well; I will make a
league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see
my face, except thou first bring Michal Saul’s daughter,
when thou comest to see my face.
10-6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into
the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked
through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and
she despised him in her heart.
10-6:20 Then David returned to bless his
household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came
out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who
uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one
of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
10-6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

unto him as a daughter.

of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab’s mother.

son of Barzillai the Meholathite:

upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out
of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day,

daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had
done.

bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.

virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be

O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no

Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
24-4:11 At that time shall it be said to
this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness
toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor
to cleanse,
24-4:31 For I have heard a voice as of a
woman in travail, and the anguish as
of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that
bewaileth herself, that spreadeth
her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied
because of murderers.
24-6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.

of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

spear; they are cruel, and have no
mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in
array as men for war against thee, O daughter of
Zion.
24-6:26 O daughter
of my people, gird thee with
sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter
lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
24-8:11 For they have healed the hurt of the
daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace,
peace; when there is no peace.
24-8:19 Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a
far country: Is not the LORD in Zion?
is not her king in her? Why have they
provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
24-8:21 For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black;
astonishment hath taken hold on me.
24-8:22 Is
there no balm in Gilead; is there no
physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter
of my people recovered?
24-9:1 Oh that my head were waters, and
mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of
the daughter of my people!
24-9:7 Therefore thus saith the LORD of
hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
24-14:17 Therefore thou shalt say this word
unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not
cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is

backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created
a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

dwelling in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be
waste and desolate without an inhabitant.

of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people
of the north.
24-48:18 Thou daughter
that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy
glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds.
24-49:4 Wherefore gloriest thou in the
valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter?
that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who
shall come unto me?
24-50:42 They shall hold the bow and the
lance: they are cruel, and will not
shew mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon
horses, every one put in array, like
a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of
Babylon.

God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little
while, and the time of her harvest shall come.

the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!

habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath the
strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath
brought them down to the ground: he
hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.
25-2:4 He hath bent his bow like an enemy:
he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.

swallowed up Israel, he hath swallowed up all her palaces: he hath destroyed
his strong holds, and hath increased in the daughter
of Judah mourning and lamentation.

the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath
stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore
he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.
25-2:10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust
upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of
Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
25-2:11 Mine eyes do fail with tears, my
bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of
the daughter of my people; because the children
and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.
25-2:13 What thing shall I take to witness
for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter
of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee?

their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The
joy of the whole earth?

wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down
like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine
eye cease.

water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.

breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter
of my people is become cruel, like
the ostriches in the wilderness.

of the daughter of my people is greater than the

she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he
that strengthened her in these times.

forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in

the hand of thine enemies.
